  • Wingnuts' playoff hopes dashed

The Wingnuts fought for a playoff spot until the final few days of the season before finally being eliminated on Tuesday. They showed similar resiliency against Sioux Falls on Tuesday, nearly rallying from a seven-run deficit before succumbing 9-8 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

  • Jayhawks confident about line

Fifth-year senior center Ryan Cantrell has the credibility to give an honest assessment of Kansas' offensive line. Cantrell, 6-foot-3, 295-pounds, has worked his way up the depth chart to the point that last season he started all 13 games and earned All-Big 12 honorable mention.
